Sweet Music Quartet History
In 2003, Maricel Lucero celebrated her Cuban heritage by recording a Cuban music CD, Canciones de mi Tierra (Songs of my Homeland).
A small group of singers from her Feminine Tone chorus then dubbed the Chiquitas, provided backup vocals.
Their name has now been changed to Sweet Music Quartet and they specialize in close, complex harmonies. This quartet has expanded its repertoire to include songs from the popular, Jazz, and Blues genres from the 30’s to the present.
Sweet Music features Maricel Lucero, Linda Burns, Kathy Duhamel, and Sara Norcross. They perform musical cabarets to raise funds for the Feminine Tone’s continuous humanitarian efforts in Cuba.
