CUBA

Joining with people of different cultures and ideologies, putting aside differences and uniting in song, is a great way to promote peace and understanding in the world.

The Feminine Tone women’s chorus has done just that, representing the U.S. in a gesture of friendship by traveling to Santiago de Cuba in February 2001, to Havana in May 2003 and back to Santiago in November 2005 to sing in international choral festivals.  In February 2007 and again in 2008, a small group returned to Santiago to sing in churches and to participate in painting projects at the Second Baptist Church.

In November 2009 The Feminine Tone participated in Santiago de Cuba’s International Choral Festival.

As in previous trips to Cuba, the chorus plans to bring humanitarian aid in the form of clothing, sheets, towels, and medical supplies to be distributed among the island’s most needy areas.
